5. Check What Is Closest to You: /2 x

Now, let's practice a really useful command: /2 x.

With the /2 x command, you see a single item from the four categories of items in SL: the closest "person," moving object, stationary object, and scripted object.

It is as if you put out your hands and felt around you.

Try this command now: /2 x. It has deliberately been kept as simple as possible to type.

In your chat window, your device will report what is around you: for example, it might type "Mobility Cane 2.8: Scanning for Agents. Charles Mountain is 2 Meters North East."

Notice that what is around you is "printed" into the chat window.

Depending on where you are standing, your device will find different things around you.
